User Session Timeout Policy

What are Session Timeouts?

Session timeout or also known as browser session timeouts happens when a user does not perform any action on a web application for a certain amount of time. The event, on the server side, changes the status of the user session to ‘invalid’ (ie. “not used anymore”) and instructs the web server to destroy it (deleting all data contained in it).

Default Settings:

The default settings are set to 1 hour (60 mins).

How to configure it?

The admin users will have the ability to customise these settings from the admin dashboard under the "Security Settings" section. The default setting is set to 1 hour (60 mins). Means, when a user's browser window is inactive for 60 mins, the system will timeout the browser session and logs out the user from Ready Recruit system automatically. The logged out user will then have to log back in by entering their credentials manually and continue their work.

What do you need to know?

This feature is already enabled on Ready Recruit on production environment.
