JobReady.Direct Release - 04/04/18

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend!

In this release, you will see some major updates around communication and reporting, allowing for improved usability and efficiencies.

SMS Functionality 
Direct integrates with Message Media (an SMS provider) using the API, for clients who already use Message Media but are not using this within Direct, feel free to contact us to set this up for you.
This release sees the capability of SMS replies to be tracked directly back into Direct. With this being the first phase of the implementation, we are looking at additional ways to improve this service with notifications and prompts to advise the SMS sender that there has been a response to their external SMS.
This will also see the functionality be expanded into other areas of Direct as well, so keep your eyes peeled!

Export Templates 

In our last release, we gave you the ability to expand on your export templates within Direct by allowing you to select what fields can be exported and also select the order of those exports. This has now been updated to include the additional properties that are created against that entity, rather than just including all of these values at the end of every export. Why is this important? We know that there are reports that are run quite often within the system, and the existing export templates worked, however a lot of the fields exported from the properties were not useful in those particular reports. Allowing you to select the individual properties that you require will see you creating a standard export template to be used for each of these exports.

Rotations 

This can now be performed without the requirement of a Vacancy. This has been added for you so that quite rotations can be performed where the Company is already known and has accepted the Apprentice without the need to open the Vacancy publically.

We still recommend that Vacancies are created for each rotation for tracking purposes, however for those edge cases where the need is not there, selecting the Company instead of the vacancy will be more efficient.

On another note – JobReady is moving! Friday the 6th April, we will be packing up and moving to our new office – Crows Nest no more… We will be closing the office at 3.30pm to be out by 4pm. This however will not cause any disruptions to your support, as we will have the team working remotely during this period as we will have the phones redirected to mobiles.

SMS - Inbound SMS


For those of you who didn't know - Direct has the ability to send SMS to Candidates within your community. This is built on an integration with our SMS partner Message Media, and utilises their API to send SMS to a particular mobile number.


In an effort to provide this as a more meaningful tool for users to communicate effectively, we have been working on expanding this functionality.


In our latest release, we have built in the ability to receive the SMS reply inbound into the system.


Now that we have the ability to send outbound and receive inbound SMS, we will be expanding on this functionality within Direct to allow for this to be performed throughout all areas of your community.

Custom Export Templates - Properties


In our last release for Direct, users were given the ability to select what fields they would like to export from each entity in the order they select.


As an update to this in our latest update to Direct, users will now be able to incorporate the custom properties from Direct into these exports.


This provides the ability to create a single template to export the correct values in the order required, without the need to remove the additional property columns when exporting all fields. 



Rotations - Direct Rotations


Direct has always required users to select a specific vacancy when rotating from one host to another, however we know that this is not always useful if there is an Employer who has already accepted the Apprentice or Trainee without the Vacancy being required.


In our latest update, users have now got the ability to rotate placements into a new Employer without the requirement of a Vacancy being created. This can be done by selecting the specific Company rather than the Vacancy from the New Rotations screen.


The information that transfers from the existing placement into the new rotated placement will be expanded over the coming releases. 


Candidates - Filters


The below filter has been included in the candidates search:


  • Attachments Tag


This filter will identify any Candidate records that have an attachment uploaded into their record with the selected Attachment Tag.


This will provide users with the ability to filter on Candidates that do have Resumes, Cover Letters, and other relevant documentation as long as they have been entered correctly into the attachment.
