JR.Direct Release Notes (May 05, 2020)

rn.jpg

Hi All,
Hope this email finds you all well and safe indoors. In this release on JR.Direct, we have worked on introducing new functionalities, bug fixes and have also made some key updates to the product.

In the previous week, we have worked on adding new filters, exports "AND/OR" operator filters, bulk actions on various search pages to help you with better reporting. We have also introduced table columns customisation option, allowing for table column management from the companies search page. We will be adding more columns and more customisation options to all other search pages in the next coming weeks.

On JR.Direct, we have introduced a new functionality on the vacancies custom properties page which will give you the ability to post additional job requirements on the vacancy advertisements posted on Gateway job portal. This custom properties page can be accessed from "Other Configurations" section on the admin dashboard.

Currently, when using the "Forgot your password" functionality on the Gateway system, users are required to enter an email address where they will be notified if an account exists in our database. It will then send them an email with password reset instructions. This will also notify users if the email address doesn't exist. We have identified this as a security threat and hence, we have changed the validation message on the password reset screen.

Please see the full release notes below and let us know your feedback.

Kind Regards,
Ram Goalla
Product Owner

Companies Search - Default Companies

Until now, only the companies that are of kind "Host Employer" were being displayed in the "All Companies" search page by default. But the users were always able to search for other company kinds through the company kinds search filter. We have now made changes to this search page to display all the company kinds by default except RTO's.

Note: You can add and customise company kinds from the "Company Configurations" section on the admin dashboard.

Interviews search - New Table Column

We have added a new table column on the interviews search page and on all interview tabs to view the records based on the following:

  • Interview Kind

Dynamic Vacancy Properties - Show on Gateway?

On JR.Direct, we have introduced a new functionality on the Vacancies Custom Properties page enabling you to post additional job requirements on vacancy advertisements from the Gateway job portal. You will now be able to view a new option with a checkbox "Show on Gateway?" against each vacancy property. Selecting this option while creating or updating a vacancy property will display that additional job requirement on the vacancy advertisement that was posted on Gateway.

The default vacancy properties are as follows:

  • Applicants require Working with Children Check?
  • Applicants require their Own Car?
  • Applicants require their Driver Licence?
  •  Applicants require Police Check?
  • Internal Reference (This will be displayed only on the employer side of Job Ad)

Note: If you are a Gateway customer and would require any assistance in adding additional job requirements on the vacancy ad, please feel free to contact our Support Team anytime.

Companies Search - Bulk Update Statuses (New Bulk Action)

Updating records can become painful where a staff member has gone on leave or even left the business. However we have now included the ability for users to update the company statuses in bulk from the companies search page.

This is restricted by a User Permission that has been included within the Roles and Permissions area from the admin's dashboard, allowing you to decide which user role should have the ability to update company statuses in bulk. This permission is labelled:

  • Can Bulk Update Company Statuses.

Tag(s) Filters - "AND/OR" Operator

We have implemented a new feature on all search page filters where the Tag(s) are located. This new feature will work as an "AND/OR" operator. You can now search (filter) for records based on the following:

  • Records that has at least 1 tag selected (Will display the list of records that has at least 1 of the tag that was selected)
  • Records that have all the tags selected (Will display the list of records that have all the tags that were selected)

Note: We are also currently working on implementing a new filter called - "Tag(s) Does Not Exist" across all search pages. This new functionality will improve your search experience. More details will be given out in the next release.

Contacts Search - New Filter & Export

A new filter and export has been added to the contacts search page, to filter, view and export the contacts into a spreadsheet based on the contact licence types:

  • Contact Licence Types

Gateway - Password Reset Validation Message

As a part of security upgrades, we have updated the validation message on the password reset screen, when a user requests for a new password by entering their email addresses. This new validation message will not display an error if an email address does not exist in the system's database. It will just display the below generic message:

"An email has been sent to (email address entered) with instructions to reset your password."

Placements Search - New Export

A new export field has been added to the placement search page, to filter, view and export the placements into a spreadsheet based on the below field:

  • Vacancy ID

Companies Search - Customisable Table Columns

We have received feedback from you expressing difficulties in managing the table columns across all search pages. You will now have the ability to customise the table columns on the companies search page.

By default all the available table columns will be displayed to the users. You can customise these by clicking on the "Customise Columns" button and select the checkboxes. Only the selected columns will be displayed to the user on the companies search table.

Note: This is a user profile specific feature. Hence, every user profile can set their own table columns. We will also implement this for other search pages in the coming weeks.
