Hope this email finds you all well and safe, indoors. With most of us quarantined at home and testing days ahead, it is natural to feel low. However, at such times it is important for us to change our outlook and be positive. Let us all look at it as a time to slow down, rejuvenate, be grateful.
In this release in JR.Direct, we have worked on introducing new features and have also made some key updates to the product.
We have implemented two new features on Gateway portal that will give the admin users an ability to manage the Gateway emails, background images and logos. This new update will significantly decrease the amount of wait time in getting the email templates and background images updated through the support tickets.
We have also added a new dashboard number widget on JR.Direct called "Expiring Vacancies". This new widget will display the number of Vacancies that are due to close (have a closing date) within the next 7 Days from current date (today). Users can choose to view the vacancies based on the vacancy statuses and also the user group they belong to from the widget preferences page.
Further to the above updates, we have added many more functionalities and improvements to the application. Please see the full release notes below and let us know your feedback.

LHS Menu - Apprenticeships Search Page
We have received feedback from you expressing difficulties in locating the Apprenticeships button on the LHS menu, under the "More" option. Customers who are currently using this search page will see this button on the top "Entities" list on the LHS menu.
Note: Please contact our support team if you would like to start using the Apprenticeships search page. We will also be improving this search page in the future weeks.
Dashboard Widget - Expiring Vacancies
A new number widget has been implemented on the Dashboard for JR.Direct called "Expiring Vacancies". This widget will display the number of Vacancies that are due to close in the next 7 Days from today. Expiring vacancies can be viewed based on the vacancy statuses and also based on the user group that you are assigned. This can be turned on and off for users from the widget preferences page.
Note: By default, this widget will be turned off on the dashboard. You can turn on this widget from the widget preferences page.
Gateway Admin - Upload Background Images, Logos and Banners
We have received quite a few requests in the last couple of months from Gateway customers requesting a change in the background images, header banners, Main logo and Email footer logos. We've introduced a new section on the Gateway admin dashboard that allows Gateway admin users to upload the following list of background images on Gateway portal manually. You can login to the Gateway admin page through the admin credentials and update the background images. If you do not have your admin credentials, please contact our support staff.
- Background Image (For Desktop screens)
- Background Image (For Tablet screens)
- Background Image (For Mobile screens)
- Background Image (Header Banner)
- Background Image (Admin Page logo)
- Background Image (Email Footer logo)
Note: We will also be introducing a new option to upload the main logo manually on Gateway portal in the coming few weeks. Hence, If there are requests to change the main logo on Gateway portal, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. We will update the main logo for you from the backend.
WHS Records - Delete Option
You will now have the ability to delete the records under the WHS records tab on a placement page. The new delete button will be available under the edit button against each record.
Note: We are currently working on activity log records to display this delete action under the "Activities" tab when a WHS record is deleted.
Company Page - Applications Tab
The applications and placements were displayed under the same tab (placements tab) on a company page until now. You now have the ability to view the applications received in a separate tab on a company page. A filter has also been added on the applications tab to filter the view the applications based on their statuses.
Gateway Admin - Email Template Management
Based on the feedback and the customer requests, we've introduced a new "Email Templates" section on the Gateway admin page, to manage emails currently being sent from the Gateway portal. To manage Jobseeker Emails and Employer emails, we've created two different sections. We've also implemented merge fields to display the data based on the email.
Currently, the following emails templates can be created and managed through this new email template management page:
Jobseeker Emails
- Welcome Email (Sent to the Jobseeker after creating an account on Gateway)
- Application Confirmation Email (Sent to the Jobseeker after applying for a vacancy)
Employer Emails
- Welcome Email (Sent to the Employer after creating an account on Gateway)
- Application Received Email (Sent to the Employer when a new application is received for a posted job)
Note: We will also be adding more email templates in the coming few weeks. This feature is currently turned off by default for all customers. If you want to have this page enabled, please contact our support team. We will help you enable this feature and create the required email templates for you.
