In this release in JR.Direct, we have worked on introducing new features and have also made some key updates to the product.
We have implemented a new email address validation while creating new user accounts on JR.Direct. This new validation will restrict the users from creating invalid user accounts on JR.Direct. An error will be displayed if there are any invalid special characters included in the email address domains.
As an employer of apprentices some trades require supervisors to have licences captured against them. Hence, we have introduced a new feature to add licences against company contacts on JR.Direct. You can add contact licence types from a new page available within the Admin Dashboard under "Company Configurations" section. These customisable contact licence types can be selected while adding a licence (attachment) against a contact on a company page.
We have also made some important changes on the Employer portal on Gateway which will improve the user experience aspect for all Gateway customers. The biggest change that you will notice is that we have re-designed the navigation bar and implemented a new Employer Profile page. Employers can perform all the existing operations from the new profile page with a better user experience on all devices.
Further to the above updates, we have worked on adding new email notifications, new filter bars and table columns and many more. Please see the full release notes below and let us know your feedback.

Security - User Email Address Validation
A new validation has been implemented to check for invalid user email addresses while creating or updating user accounts on JR.Direct. An error will display if there are any invalid special characters included in the email domains.
Note: Please contact our support team if you already have any incorrect email addresses created. We will fix that for you manually from the backend of our system.
Company Contacts - Add Licences
Admin users can manage "Contact Licence Types" from a new page available within the Admin Dashboard under "Company Configurations" section. You will have the ability to add contact licence types through this admin page and can select these customisable contact licence types while adding a licence against a contact on a company page.
Gateway - Employer Portal (Navigation Bar Redesign)
We have received feedback from you expressing issues with locating certain buttons on the existing navigation bar. Hence, we have re-designed the navigation bar on the Employer portal to improve the user experience on all devices. Employers can now view and update their details from the new profile page, use the sign out and home buttons also and access many more options.
Gateway - Employer Portal (New Profile Page)
We have redesigned the navigation bar and implemented a new profile page on the Employer portal. Employers can perform all the existing operations from the new profile page with a better user experience on all devices
Email Notifications - Vacancy (Status or Sub-status change)
When a vacancy status/sub-status has been updated, an email notification will now be triggered to the person who is assigned as vacancy internal source. Email notification groups have also been implemented to trigger to multiple email addresses when a vacancy status/sub-status has been updated.

Candidates Search - New Filter Bar
The existing filter bar on candidates search page has been upgraded. Candidates can now be searched with the new predictive text filter bar. This new update will reduce the time in searching for the filters unlike the previous scroll down bar and will also improve the performance and accuracy in finding the results. New filter bars and the ability to customise the table columns on all search pages will be added in the coming weeks.
Vacancies Search - New Table Columns
We have added 2 new table columns on the vacancies search page to view the vacancies based on the following:
- Vacancy ID
- Vacancy Closing Date
Vacancy Page - Applications Tab (New Table Columns)
We have added 2 new table columns under the applications tab on a vacancy page to view the applications received based on the following:
- Applicant Email
- Applicant Mobile Number
