JR.Direct Release Notes (Jan 12, 2021)

Candidate - New Title (Mx)

We have received requests from some customers where there are candidates/jobseekers who does not identify as any particular gender and they want to have a suitable option that can be selected rather than Mr, Miss etc. Hence, we have added a new title "Mx" to the candidate entity on JR.Direct. This option is also available on the jobseeker registration page for Gateway customers.

Bulk Actions - Dry Run Results

Users on JR.Direct can now perform a dry run (trail run) before performing the following bulk actions on site visits and contacts search pages. The dry run option will display the total number of records that are going to be updated before clicking the Update button

  • Bulk Delete Site Visits
  • Bulk Update Contact Types

Delete Site Visits - New Validation

While deleting site visit records on JR.Direct, the associated quest forms will also be deleted along with the site visit record. Once an associated quest form is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Hence, we have added a new validation process to restrict the users from deleting the site visit records that have at least 1 submitted quest form(s) against them. This new validation will identify if there are any submitted quest forms against a site visit and display a message to the users.

Candidates - Blacklist feature

Similar to the company blacklisting feature, we have added the ability to blacklist candidates entity from a candidate page. Users will be able to add comments against a candidate while marking them as Blacklisted. We have also implemented a filter on the candidates search page to search for candidates that were blacklisted.

Placements Search - Bulk Send SMS

We have added a new bulk action for the customers who use SMS functionality on JR.Direct. On the placements search page, we have added the ability for users to send bulk SMS's to the candidates and company contact mobile phones that are associated to the placement records. 

This is restricted by a user role permission that has been included within the Roles and Permissions area from the admin’s dashboard, allowing you to decide which user role should have the ability to update company statuses in bulk. By default this permission will be available only for the admin role.

This permission is labelled as:

  • Can Send SMS

Users - Timezone Column

From the admin dashboard on JR.Direct under the users table, we have added a new column that will display the users timezone. Users will have the ability to choose/change a user timezone by clicking on the edit button against the user profile. 

Note: When a new user account is created, the default time zone will always be set to UTC.

Gateway - Employer Portal (Vacancy Templates)

Last year for Gateway customers, we have implemented vacancy templates feature on the employers portal where the employers can create pre-defined vacancy templates that can be used while creating new vacancies. This year on the employer portal, we added a crossover feature where the employers on Gateway will have the ability to access the vacancy templates created on the admin dashboard on JR.Direct. Vacancy templates created on JR.Direct will be displayed with a prefix - "Default".

Note: For all Gateway customers, this feature will be disabled by default. Please let us know if you want to have this feature enabled for the employers on the employer portal on Gateway.

Gateway - Job Alert Emails (Unsubscribe Option)

For Gateway customers who use Job Alerts feature, we have added an Unsubscribe option to the job alert email templates on Gateway. Starting from today, all the job alert emails will have an Unsubscribe option on the email template that are sent to the jobseekers. 

When a jobseeker clicks on the unsubscribe option on the job alert email they will be re-directed to the jobseeker profile on Gateway where they can unsubscribe from receiving the job alerts in the future. Jobseekers can always resubscribe to the job alerts from the same jobseeker profile page later. 

Once a jobseeker unsubscribes to the job alert emails on Gateway, a message is displayed on the candidate page on JR.Direct under the Job Alert Emails tab displaying the date of last Un-subscription.

Note: The date of the last Un-subscription will be captured only from today. The Un-subscription date of any existing candidates that have Unsubscribed to the job alerts earlier will not be captured on JR.Direct.
