We have had an enormous fortnight during our most recent development schedule (otherwise known as our fortnightly sprint) with the JobReady 20th Birthday Event being held last Thursday 13th October. We want to thank everyone who attended the workshops and the events, and are looking forward to what we are currently achieving, and where we are heading with you joining us on the our journey.
With the event aside, we have still managed to keep up our development velocity with the below development making it into this weeks release.

Updated Postcodes
For a while now, the Postcode and Suburb listing within JobReady.Direct has been a manual process that gets updated on a bi-yearly. The team here have been working over the past few weeks on identifying a better solution for this, and have now updated the process so that the Postcode Listing is being updated automatically on a monthly basis with a full geo-coded list of Suburbs and Postcodes.
Customised Prospect Statuses
We understand that not every organisation will use the generic prospect statuses that have been used in standard CRMs for years - Cold, Warm, Hot, Customer. So JobReady.Direct has developed a way for organisations to build their own list of customised prospect statuses, with the existing statuses remaining in place as a standard list of prospect statuses.
This can be found within the Admin Dashboard - Configuration - Company Prospect Statuses.
If a prospect status is not required or is no longer being used, these can be disabled from the admin dashboard by editing the status, and un-ticking the enabled option.
The ability to set a default prospect status has been included also, which means that the status selected as the default status will be the status that is set when a new company record is created.
Application Statuses
JobReady.Direct has included 2 new Application Statuses to the system:
- Short Listed
- Not Successful
These statuses have been included in the system in an effort to make for a more robust pre-placement/recruitment workflow to suit your needs.

Notification To Finance
JobReady.Direct allows organisations to setup a Finance email, which will receive an email when there has been a status change or an update to a Placement record. This has now been included to receive a notification email when the Qualification Status and Sub-Status have been updated.
If you would like to setup the Finance notifications on your system, please contact the support team via zendesk, or use the help feature within JobReady.Direct and the team will be in touch.
Invoices - RTO Field
To increase the visibility of information on invoices, JobReady.Direct will now include a field to select the RTO or the TAFE.
This will default to the current RTO against the Placement if it exists, otherwise this will be a blank field with an RTO Lookup from the list of RTOs in the system.
Payroll Tab Updates
Multiple updates on the Payroll tab have occurred in the last release:
1. Reference label has now been updated to Reference/payroll ID. This has occurred in an effort to open up the terminology across multiple payroll systems. Payroll ID is not necessarily always called Payroll ID so keeping the Reference label with the field should explain more prominently what the filed is for. This field will still be reflected in Filters and Exports as Payroll ID.
2. Parent Award label has been updated to reflect Charge Rate Code. The field will still be a string field, meaning that it can have any text or number entered and stored in the same way as it did previously.
3. New field for Timesheet Approver. This has been added to capture who the Timesheet Approver of the Host Employer is. The field will be a lookup to the Contacts listed against the Current Host Employer.
