Background:
Ready Recruit is in the process of transitioning from our current email service provider “Mandrill” to “AWS SES” (Amazon Simple Email Service).
Steps involved in domain verification process:
Admin users on Ready Recruit will now be able to view the following new option under the Email Settings section on the admin dashboard.
- Verified Email Domains (AWS SES)
Please click on the (Verified Email Domains (AWS SES)) option and start performing the process of verifying your email domains with AWS SES.
Adding an Email Domain (For Verification):
Admin users should be able add their email domains (example: "readytech.io" or "jobready.com.au") by clicking on the "New Email Domain +" button on the page. Once the email domain is added, please click on the "Add Email Domain" button on the window to save it.
The newly added domains will be displayed in a tabular format on the page where the system will display the domain verification status as "Pending".
Generating DKIM DNS Records:
Users will then have to click on the "edit" button against the newly added email domain and generate the DKIM tokens by clicking on "Generate DKIM Authentication Token" button on the window.
After clicking on the "Generate DKIM Authentication Token" button, a series of tokens will be generated automatically as shown below with the following options.
- Type
- Name
- Value
Note: Users can either copy the Type, Name and Value of the generated tokens or can also download a spreadsheet (.csv) with the same details.
Authenticating the tokens:
Users will now have 72 hours to get the above DKIM DNS tokens authenticated with AWS SES. To verify your email domain the above tokens are required to be added to the domain. This is something that needs to be handled by the IT department of your business. Please handover these tokens to them.
We have also added a table with a few examples from the most popular domain hosts:
